BEEr & Wine Tours
In 2024, I was asked by Mer av Oslo to create engaging experiences focused on food and beverage. Drawing on my extensive background in this industry, and interest, I developed an introductory course on beer and brewing, which quickly captured the interest of participants.
Building upon this success, we expanded the concept the following year into a Wine Tour, which was equally well-received. The core idea behind these tours is inspired by social dining events — experiences where strangers come together to share meals, fostering new connections and engaging conversations. Both the Beer and Wine Tours embody this spirit of social exploration, introducing participants not only to exceptional beverages but also to a lively community atmosphere that encourages social interaction and discovery.

Wine Tour
In 2024 and 2025 Mer av Oslo and I have been hosting walking wine tour around Bislett, Oslo — an evening dedicated wine tasting and social interaction.
A group of random people gather at Bislett, ready to embark on a one-of-a-kind wine adventure. Together, we explore three distinctive wine bars, each within a five-minute stroll of each other, and each passionately curated to elevate the appreciation of fine wines. Separated into three groups, there would always be a group at each of the wine bars. At every stop, guests immerse themselves in introductions by knowledgeable hosts, (sommeliers, or waiters) indulged in a detailed tastings of three handpicked wines, served with snacks. The Wine Tour is more than just a tasting — it is a social interactive journey where attendees uncover new favourite wines, places and meet new people. This unique, non-traditional Oslo experience blends education, entertainment, and exploration in a relaxed social atmosphere. Whether seasoned wine enthusiasts or simply wine-curious, everyone enjoys an evening full of discovery. My main goal with the Wine Tour was to gather people, and help them discover new places in Oslo, that they’d hopefully return back to, and be able to see that you don’t have to take wine so seriously.

Beer Tour
A group of 20-24 random people gather at our starting point, Røør, to begin a beer-tasting experience. At 18:00, guests are welcomed by the host (me) who’ll guide the group throughout the entire evening. At Røør, we explore the brewing process, learn about the venue's unique beer selection, and enjoy a curated tasting of four distinct beers. Each beer comes with an engaging introduction highlighting its type, brewing method, and unique characteristics.
Next, we stroll to Brygg, where guests are treated to another informative beer-tasting session, mirroring the enjoyable format experienced at our first stop.
The tour concludes at Crow bar, our final destination, where guests would experience and enjoy the house specialty food, paired perfectly with a selected beer. Attendees then had the opportunity to relax, savouring the evening and each other's company for the remainder of the night.
This beer tour provided both education and entertainment, fostering new friendships and offering an experience in the heart of Oslo. My main goal with the Beer Tour was to gather people, and help them discover new places in Oslo, and help them discover that beer is more than just the standard pilsner. In 2024 we arranged more than 8 private and public Beer Tours.
